I see the role of Solidarity in the labour movement as linking fightbacks across unions and workplaces against low wages , closures & job losses , privatizations and the attacks on occupational pensions . We also need a political focus for the fight to get rid of the Tory anti-union laws as well as fighting to get unions to disaffiliate from Blair and Browns Thatcherite New Labour Party.
