ImageWho is No2EU?

No2EU: Yes to Democracy is standing across Britain for the European electionson June 4th. No2Eu was set up by the railworkers union the RMT and is also supported by Solidarity, the Socialist Party in England and Wales, the Communist Party, the Red Green Alliance and the Unity for Peace and Socialism alliance. No2EU has been set up for the European elections to give ordinary working class people a political voice that is being denied to them by the parties of the rich and big business. 

Workers leaders

ImageNo2EU candidates include: leaders of the RMT union whose general secretary Bob Crow is standing in London, leaders of the recent Visteon car workers occupations and the Lindsay Oil workers struggle as well as leading members of the public sector union, Unison and postal workers fighting the privatisation of Royal Mail. 

In Scotland

No2EU’s six candidates in Scotland are: John Foster, Tommy Sheridan, Leah Ganley, Stuart Hyslop, Ajit Singh Uppal and Tommy Morrison. Tommy Sheridan and Leah Ganley are both members of Solidarity. 

Youth fight for a future

 

ImageLeah Ganley is a young student from Dundee and a leading member of the Youth Fight for Jobs Campaign. Leah said: “So many young people are now being denied a future as the economic crisis gets worse. Around 600,000 young people are leaving education this summer to face decreasing job opportunitiesand a huge leap in unemployment. We need a future that provides proper training and employment as well as genuine free education. Solidarity and the Youth Fight for Jobs campaign are committed to fighting for that future.” 

 

Build a working class and socialist alternative
