Dr. Azzam Tamimi is in Edinburgh launching his new book, *Hamas: Unwritten Chapters*. He is among the most prominent voices of Palestinian resistance, as both an academic and activist. He is director of the Institute of Islamic Political Thought and has authored several books. Appearing regularly on the media, his cutting analysis and powerful rhetoric have won him many admirers but also, inevitably, those who malign him. Whilst not a member of Hamas, Dr. Tamimi enjoys a close relationship with many among its leadership and is uniquely placed to explain the dynamics of the Islamic Resistance Movement to the western public.
